Orlando Battle of the Badges

Writer's picture: CGHO StaffCGHO Staff

The streak of sending teams to tournament finals came to an end as Team Coast Guard failed to make the playoffs in the annual tournament sponsored by the Orlando Fire Department, 1-2-0. The team lost to the Suffolk (NY) PD and Philadelphia PD by two goals each to start off the event. With the team having never fully played together before, the chemistry started to show itself in their third game, scoring 3 unanswered goals to send the game into overtime, where they would eventually overcome a tough Southwest Florida Fire squad.
